Partnership Profile
The Worksafe Partnership was established in March 1991 as an independent safety consultancy by David Carrington. David,
an experienced Health & Safety practitioner, had worked for many years as a Divisional Safety Manager with a large UK based
Construction and Civil Engineering company.
The intention was to offer a dedicated safety service to smaller companies either working in or allied to the construction industry.
Since that time, the partnership has grown, both in terms of staff and membership.
Our title represents the type of service we offer, i.e. helping members to 'work safely' by them agreeing to be in 'partnership' on an annual
renewable membership basis. From the outset, we have faithfully followed this concept.
In essence, the practice has developed along similar lines to that of a large company 'Safety Department' in as much that once you become a member,
anyone from your company can ring us, at any time, to enquire about Health & Safety issues. The Worksafe partnership will become part of your team, offering
'hands-on' helpto your Managers/Supervisors when they are attempting to understand all the ramifications of the many Statutory requirements affecting your
business, thereby enabling them to carry out their duties within the legal framework.
Our growing membership base incorporates a diverse range of industries, including ground workers, sub frame and main frame contractors, earthmoving and other construction based
trades, a number of specialist contractors (i.e. steel, concrete, glass, fabric, office furniture), and also a leading investment banking firm.
Since the introduction of The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 1994, we have extended our service to include the role of 'Planning Supervisor' and
in helping Principal Contractors with their duties.
The Worksafe Partnership carries full Professional Indemnity Insurance to the required level for our undertaking, as required by our professional
membership's and trade organisations.
